Safety Training Courses

This instructor-led, virtual bundle offers four NYC Department of Buildings-Approved SST courses including 8 hours of prescribed (required) training that can be applied towards the requirements of a Supervisor Site Safety Training (SST) Card.

Students will need to have access to an internet connection, a computer, or a tablet with access to a web camera, microphone, and download the WebEx app.

This instructor-led, virtual 4-hour course is intended to educate workers on how to avoid accidents and injuries while working on roofs, leading edges, ladders, or scaffolds by defining the regulations and safety rules associated with fall hazards on construction sites.

This course is an elective course that can help fulfill the requirement for an individual renewing for a Site Safety Training Card. THIS IS AN AWARENESSLEVEL TRAINING ONLY and does not provide any other qualification or authorization outside of the Site Safety Training Card.

Gallagher Bassett’s actively proctored, instructor-led virtual 4-Hour Mast Climber User/Operator & RefresherTraining course allows mast climber users to recognize the most common hazards related to their work. Students will be able to identify their responsibilities as a user or operator, safety procedures, current regulations and hazard controls related to mast climbing. This course covers topics such as mast climber use and operation, hazards associated with such work, pre-use inspections, startup and shut down procedures, emergency descent procedures, fall protection, mast climber stability and balance, and storage of materials on a mast climber.

The virtual 8-Hour Site Safety Training course is a refresher to the 40-Hour Site Safety Training course, which is a comprehensive presentation of Chapter 33 and the Rules of the City of New York that pertains to public protection. During the training, students will review the hazards of working in the New York City construction environment and the specific methods and work practices that are necessary on an urban construction site.
